Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Shamba+ mobile application ("Shamba+", "the App"), provided by SaMTama ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Shamba+, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Shamba+ helps farmers track farm operations and finances — land, crops, seasons, harvests, revenue, costs, inputs, animals, herds, and related records — so they can make better data-backed decisions about their farm.

2. Accounts

You need a Google Account to sign in to Shamba+. You're responsible for maintaining the security of that account and for all activity that happens under your Shamba+ account. Tell us right away at ngigi.nyongo@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your data

You retain ownership of the farm and financial data you enter into Shamba+. We store and process it on your behalf so the app can function (see our Privacy Policy for details on what's collected and how it's used). You're responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter — Shamba+ is a record-keeping and analysis tool, not financial or agronomic advice, and decisions you make based on it are your own.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Shamba+ to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the app or its backend services
• Upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or infringes on someone else's rights

5. Availability

We aim to keep Shamba+ available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, SaMTama is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Shamba+, including decisions made based on data recorded in the app.

7. Termination and account deletion

You may stop using Shamba+ and delete your account at any time — in-app via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account, via our account deletion page, or by emailing ngigi.nyongo@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use of Shamba+ after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

SaMTama to specify: the jurisdiction whose law governs these Terms. Left blank here since it depends on where SaMTama is legally established/registered, which isn't derivable from the app's code.
